This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Hours for this position are:
3:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. (Monday through Thursday)
Pay is commensurate with experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preventively maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, replaces and alters defective equipment.
Provides maintenance on complex production equipment.
Responsible for controlling inventory and requisitioning appropriate parts.
Performs maintenance checks on buildings and equipment.
Maintains electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Operate industrial equipment (skyjack, forklift).
Complies with company safety and sanitation guidelines.
Performs general equipment repair and installation of safety equipment when necessary.
Teams with production staff to encourage proper use and care of all equipment.
Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
Follow all required work safe practices. This would include lockout-tag out requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
Must be willing to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 6 months of experience or 6 months of formal training in at least two of the mechanical areas listed:
Mechanical Trouble Shooting
Electrical Trouble Shooting
Hydraulic Trouble Shooting
PLC Controls
Three Phase Wiring
Plumbing
Conveyor Maintenance
Pneumatic Systems; to exclude Building Maintenance.

Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Disqualifiers:
INTERNAL CANDIDATES’ ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• No written warnings within the previous six (6) months
• No written warning with suspensions within the previous twelve (12) months
• Must not have five (5) or more attendance points
• Must have satisfactorily completed probationary period with Keystone/Tyson Foods
• Must complete a six (6) month period on previous successful bid unless bidding for a higher classification.
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

Any listed amounts represent the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available for this position based on various factors such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay is just one part of Tyson’s total compensation package.
