Role Overview
This as an integrated Employer Branding Comms role for Walmart Global Tech in India and our Customer Engagement Services team (CES) across Bengaluru and Chennai. The role will support broader Walmart employer branding priorities catering to diverse external audience and talent segments.
This is a strategic role for a seasoned communications professional, housed within the Corporate Communications function, with a strong focus on strengthening Walmart’s reputation as an employer of choice and driving high-impact communications aligned to business priorities.
A deft, agile storyteller, the right person for this role brings sharp editorial instincts while knowing which stories live in the technology universe and which ones in the CES world.

Key responsibilities
Employer branding and talent comms
Own and lead the Walmart Global Tech employer branding strategy across our India centers, including CES, aligned to attracting key talent, workforce retention, and business priorities
Build differentiated narratives that position Walmart as an employer of choice in India across relevant ecosystem stakeholders spanning both Bengaluru and Chennai
Drive integrated campaigns across digital, social, internal, and external channels, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints in partnership with digital comms
Partner with HR, recruitment, operations, and business leadership to align communication strategies with evolving workforce needs
Amplify authentic employee, culture, and innovation stories that strengthen Walmart's employer value proposition across diverse talent segments
CES communications
Serve as the embedded communications partner for CES teams, developing approaches suited to large-scale operational environments
Translate workforce dynamics, engagement drivers, and operational priorities into effective communication strategies
Oversee communication initiatives that support employee engagement, culture-building, change management, and operational alignment within these teams
Site and CES leader communications
Lead communications for key site initiatives, milestones, leadership visits, and employee engagement programs
Support shaping executive visibility
Develop executive communication materials: Messaging frameworks, presentations, briefing notes, and toolkits in partnership with PR lead
Strategic counsel advisory
Act as a trusted communications advisor
Provide counsel on messaging, communication risks, employee sentiment, and reputation considerations
Crisis communications
Support communication planning during organizational change and business-critical moments, ensuring alignment with broader Walmart India and global priorities
Measurement and impact
Manage measurement frameworks to evaluate communication effectiveness, employer brand impact, and engagement
Develop executive-level reports and insights that demonstrate outcomes and business value
Use data and audience insights to continuously sharpen strategies and storytelling
Qualifications and experience
10-14 years of relevant experience in employer branding, corporate communications, or related fields
Demonstrated expertise in employer branding, workforce communications, and strategic storytelling for diverse talent segments
Strong track record of partnering with stakeholders and influencing cross-functional teams
Proven experience in a GCC, technology, retail-tech, or large-scale workforce environment preferred
Experience in executive communications, leadership visibility, and thought leadership initiatives
Strong understanding of digital and social channels and communication measurement
Excellent writing, messaging, and presentation skills; ability to simplify complexity for varied audiences
