Position Summary
The Production Supervisor oversees and drives all production activities to meet quotas, quality standards, machinery performance, and efficiency goals. This role includes training, scheduling, reporting, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with Maintenance, Quality, and Plant Management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Achieve and maintain daily quotas and benchmarks as set by Plant Management.
· Monitor and adjust production line speeds and workflow to optimize output.
· Track machinery performance; report and escalate any breakdowns, inefficiencies, or safety concerns to maintenance and Plant Manager.
· Maintain and manage inventory and coil stock levels; ensure coil restocks are tagged and stored properly.
· Control scrap and waste: investigate root causes, enforce standards, and report levels weekly.
· Conduct quality control inspections throughout production; promptly correct defects.
· Maintain a clean and safe workspace: conduct regular inspections, ensure proper PPE use, and enforce safety procedures.
· Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate production staff; foster a culture of continuous improvement.
· Prepare and submit timely production reports, including footage, coil usage, scrap, downtime, and payroll data.
· Efficiently operate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and production systems (AMS, Metalware, Rollformer systems).
· Conduct employee reviews and enact disciplinary actions as required.
Requirements
Qualification:
· 3+ years in manufacturing supervision or experience in roll forming or steel processing.
· Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and industrial equipment.
· Proficiency with MS Office and production systems (AMS, Metalware, Rollformer systems).
· Ability to read and interpret production schedules, technical documents, and maintenance logs.
· Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Safety Management are a plus.
