Role
The role of Technical Coordinator – Entitlements requires good understanding of various investment instruments like Equities, Fixed Income Products, Asset Backed Securities and Unit trust assets. Good understanding of wire payments, tax application/reclaims on Corporate Action events, valuation reporting etc. Core responsibilities include monitoring control activities for the team and managing the daily activities, escalation & queries management, placing high emphasis on accuracy, timeliness and client servicing. Identify process gaps and work on mitigating risk through process improvement initiatives or projects.
The position requires experience and in-depth knowledge of security service industry and financial instruments
General
Monitor and ensure accuracy and timeliness of client deliverables.
Improve on performance through process improvement and continuous training.
Participates in developing the business unit strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit. Follows through to ensure objectives are met
Implement consistent best practice and monitor the standards as agreed with the home locations.
Ensures that adequate training/ cross training is provided for all team members
Process Management
Good understanding of financial products such as Unit Trust, equities, bonds etc.
Maintain technical knowledge around the securities industry and instruments, understanding how they function as it relates to the markets, and integration with our other operation areas and client deliverables
Identifies and manages resolution of service delivery root causes
Ability to act as a process expert, own and resolve complex queries and issues not only of self but also for the immediate sub process
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, related departments and Middle Offices
Ability to train new hires on the process and ensure proper training and development of staff to meet requirements of their job
Generates ideas for operational efficiency and assesses impact
Assesses areas of risk within the team and establishes control mechanisms to control/monitor risk and respond to regulatory/legislative changes
Ensures that all metrics & MIS are completed regularly
Challenge status quo & areas for improvement pursued effectively
Reduce rework and errors in line with measurable targets
Client Management
Engage with internal clients and other partners across the enterprise to resolve inquiries, incidents and challenges as quickly as possible
Advocate dependency rate and methods to reduce gradually
Risk Management
Ensure accuracy and current volumes do not expose Northern Trust to Financial, Regulatory and/or reputational risk.
Support audit and compliance reviews in line with corporate standards
Understanding of BCP Plans & GBCRS requirements, deliver accordingly.
Ensure team adherence to CASS regulations, REMS policy on exception management.
Oversee & sign off checklists for team members
Involvement in EUC (End User Certification) documentation and ensure completion.
Conduct regular internal audits within the team and implement sufficient controls wherever applicable.
Perform root cause analysis on the issue to mitigate risk
Idea generation/best practices implemented as a part of process improvement/generation of operational efficiency contributing towards Value for spend.
Track all the internal/external errors on error log; perform root cause of all errors.
Draft effective and client friendly incident report for all external errors/incidents with effective and realistic remedial measure to avoid future recurrences.
Information Management:
Hold/Participate regular meetings/huddles to keep staff informed on items relating to the department, global practice as well as enterprise bank wide information.
Pro-actively communicate the procedure updates to the team. Ensures that all DPADs/BCP are kept up to date at all times
Collect and report management information in a timely manner, analysing and translating trends into solutions.
Escalate issues which may have a significant impact on client satisfaction with the appropriate sense of urgency.

Organisation
An understanding of the various departments within Entitlements or Security operations and how they interact with each other
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Master degree is an added advantage
Should be flexible for shifts and extended working hours.
Overall, 4+years of Industry experience.
At least 24 months of experience in the current role as a senior analyst.
Eligibility
24 Months as a Senior Analyst to move as a Technical Coordinator
Movement within TC and Associate Consultant will be 12 months
