Nuuly Buying Intern

Role Summary

Nuuly is looking for a buying intern to join their team this Summer. This buying intern will utilize reporting and internal communication tools to read customer product rentals, communicate relevant product information to the planning, buying, merchandising and distribution center teams and assist in the sourcing and development of product.

About the Summer Internship Program:Each summer, URBN Inc. welcomes candidates from across the country to immerse themselves within various teams across our portfolio of brands and gain hands-on learning experience in the area of business they choose to pursue. Summer Internship Program Application Process:

 

1) Apply to one (1) internship posting that best aligns with your interests and skills. If there is a project component included in the application (see role qualifications below), it is required and must be submitted at the time of application to be considered for the position.

 

2) Complete a Video Interview: Candidates selected to move forward will receive an email with a link to complete a video interview. Once the email is received, candidates will have two (2) days to complete this portion of the application.

 

3) Interviews with our internal teams will be scheduled on a rolling basis.

 

4) To ensure you receive the most up-to-date information regarding your application, please make sure URBN is added to your safe senders or contacts so our emails do not go to spam. Role Responsibilities

• Pre-season planning product attribution
• Purchase order management & tracking
• Reporting
• Sample management
• Attending/participating in all business review meetings and style outs with buying, planning & merchandising

 

Interns will work cross-functionally to pitch and execute a product collaboration with a beloved Nuuly brand.  This project will include:  mood-boarding, trend research, internal communication with planning, merchandising, buying and marketing teams, external communication with brand partners including product development and line-planning. 

Role Qualifications

In addition to your application and resume, to be considered for this role please submit a Trend Concept Board (8.5 X 11 PDF format is preferred)·  Once you complete your project, please upload it to the additional documents section in the application process.

Create a concept board with 3 – 5 fashion trends you see emerging for the Nuuly customer in Fall 2027.  This can be new brands to introduce to the Nuuly family paired with trending styles our customers would love to rent.

• Pull imagery from Streetwear, Pinterest, Social, runway, etc. to show your point of view – merchandisers, make it into a story!
• We are looking for forward thinkers showing future inspirational trends that move beyond where we are currently or where we have been, so show us fun trends we should have in our assortment!
• Our team is inspired by story telling so please make this as visually creative and compelling as you want!
