  • Receive deliveries of technical spare parts, materials, tools, consumables and equipment; verify quantities, condition, part numbers and supporting documentation against purchase orders or delivery records.

  • Inspect received items for damage, shortages, incorrect specifications or discrepancies and promptly report issues to the Assistant Technical Support Manager and appropriate purchasing/warehouse personnel.

  • Label and place materials in designated storage locations using safe, organized and easily identifiable storage practices.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the applicable NCL inventory/maintenance system, including AMOS or other systems designated for the private island operation.

  • Issue spare parts, tools, consumables and other materials to authorized technical personnel and maintain appropriate issue/return records.

  • Assist with cycle counts, periodic physical inventories, stock reconciliation and investigation of inventory discrepancies.

  • Monitor stock levels and advise the Assistant Technical Support Manager of minimum-stock requirements, shortages, obsolete items and materials requiring replenishment.

  • Support the preparation and organization of spare parts and materials required for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

  • Retrieve information on materials used by Technical/Engineering teams and ensure transactions are accurately recorded in the inventory system.

  • Maintain organized technical stores, including appropriate segregation of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, water-treatment, generator, vehicle, PPE, chemical and general maintenance materials as applicable.

  • Ensure materials are stored in a manner that protects NCL assets from heat, moisture, salt air, contamination, deterioration and other environmental conditions present in a tropical island destination.

  • Follow all applicable safety, environmental, fire-prevention, chemical-storage and hazardous-material requirements.

  • Assist with the safe handling and movement of heavy or bulky materials using approved material-handling equipment and procedures.

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Environmental, Operations, Procurement and other departments as necessary to ensure materials are available when required.

  • Support receiving, staging and distribution of materials associated with construction, capital projects, maintenance shutdowns and island improvement projects.

  • Maintain clean, orderly and secure storage areas and immediately report damaged storage systems, leaks, unsafe conditions or security concerns.

  • Assist with the preparation of materials for removal, return to vendor, transfer, disposal or shipment off the island in accordance with NCL procedures.

  • Participate in emergency response, storm preparation/recovery, equipment failures and other operational events when assigned.

  • Use appropriate PPE and comply with NCL Safety and Environmental Protection policies, the Safety Management System where applicable, and all island operating procedures.

  • Maintain professional and respectful working relationships with crew members, employees, contractors, vendors and guests.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Assistant Technical Support Manager or other authorized Technical leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, technical stores, maintenance stores or a similar high-volume environment is preferred.

  • Experience supporting a maintenance, engineering, construction, resort, hospitality, marine or industrial operation is an advantage.

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, are required.

  • Experience with AMOS, inventory-management software or computerized maintenance/inventory systems is preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing operational priorities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

  • Relevant warehouse, inventory, logistics, safety or technical training is an advantage.

  • Forklift or other material-handling certification is an advantage where required for assigned duties.
