Main Responsibilities
1. Manage the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, freight offer negotiations, and closing deals to maximize vessel employment and minimize idle time.
2. Develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive sales and achieve TCE (Time Charter Equivalent) and revenue targets inline with the approved budget.
3. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers while serving as a primary point of contact.
4. Oversee contract preparation and coordinate closely with the Operations Department to ensure shipments align with contractual terms.
5. Supervise Chartering staff activities and prepare accurate monthly performance reports for chartered vessels within established deadlines.
6. Report shipping and chartering performance directly to the Chartering Manager.
General Responsibilities
1. Ensure the implementation of an Integrated Management System, including the identification, documentation, and control of risks in the relevant department's work area.
2. Foster and ensure the commitment of every team member to understand and adhere to all applicable Integrated Management System requirements.
3. Be willing to participate in the investigation process of accidents, incidents, or actions that may lead to incidents caused by unsafe actions or unsafe conditions, including providing accurate information and reports based on known facts.
4. Be willing to engage in the information security control process applied to protect the information assets and information processing assets owned and/or managed by the Company from threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any major, preferably in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, or related maritime engineering fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in chartering, shipping, or maritime operations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Good understanding of charter party agreements, freight negotiation, and shipping operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
