Overview

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) was officially established by the Emiri Decision No13 of 2022, and it is the first national university specializing in academic applied, technical, and professional education in the State of Qatar. UDST has over 70 bachelor's and master's degree programs, diplomas, and certificates.  The Foundation Program Unit  invites applications exclusively from candidates available locally i.e. in Qatar with valid QID and no objection letter (NOC) for the position of on-demand Part-Time Instructor EFL (English as foreign language) starting in August 2026.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of the Department English, the part-time instructor is ideally an experienced educator with creative and innovative teaching skills who can effectively plan, develop, and deliver course content in UDST’s undergraduate English curriculum. The successful candidate will also be responsible for evaluating student progress, collaborating with faculty teaching teams, and managing resources in the learning environment

Qualifications

  • Masters (or equivalent as designated and approved) in a relevant discipline from a recognized, accredited institution. A terminal degree in a closely related field may be considered.
  • At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience in post-secondary, or higher education institutions
  • Exemplary verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken English language.

    • Demonstrate ability to use a variety of educational technology and learning platforms.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable students to be active participants in their education
    • Digital literacy and demonstrated fluency in learning management systems and an ability to model and facilitate the use of current and emerging digital platforms committed to student learning and feedback.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Collaborative and collegial spirit and a demonstrated ability to establish rapport with learners, colleagues
