Our Consulting Delivery Hub (CDH) in India is a critical part of ERM’s global consulting model enabling scalable, high-quality delivery across regions and service lines. CDH teams work in close partnership with regional consultants to support global client projects, providing specialist expertise, driving consistency, and enhancing delivery efficiency across our most important programmes.
As part of the Consulting Delivery Hub, you will collaborate with colleagues worldwide, contribute to complex sustainability projects, and play a key role in shaping the future of global consulting delivery.

Why this role matters?

As a Director – Safe and Sustainable Operations (SSO), you will play a critical role in accelerating ERM’s global consulting delivery capabilities through the Consulting Delivery Hub. Leading a portfolio of sustainability, EHS, operational excellence, decarbonization, and compliance services, you will partner with regional practices, client account teams, and technical experts to deliver high-quality solutions at scale. This role is instrumental in strengthening ERM’s global delivery model, driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and expanding the impact of our Sustainable Operations Solutions services across key markets and industries.

• Drive the growth and maturity of the SSO service portfolio within the Consulting Delivery Hub, expanding delivery capabilities and supporting global business objectives.

• Enable consistent, high-quality delivery of complex sustainability, EHS, decarbonization, and operational excellence projects across regions and sectors.

• Strengthen collaboration between CDH and regional consulting teams to create scalable delivery models that improve efficiency, quality, and client outcomes.

• Grow strategic client relationships and support commercial opportunities that contribute to revenue growth and long-term account development.

• Build and develop a high-performing consulting team by mentoring leaders, fostering technical excellence, and creating strong capability pipelines.

• Champion innovation, digital solutions, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance ERM’s ability to deliver sustainable business value for clients globally.

What will you bring?

• 15+ years of experience in sustainability, EHS, operational excellence, ESG or environmental consulting.

• Demonstrated success leading consulting teams and global delivery programs.

• Expertise in EHS management systems, regulatory compliance, decarbonization, sustainability strategy and operational improvements.

• Experience supporting multinational clients across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, technology, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure or diversified industry.

• Strong business development track record and commercial acumen.

• Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, business or related field.

Preferred skills & competencies

• Experience leading global consulting delivery centres, shared service organizations, or large-scale multidisciplinary consulting teams.

• Established network and experience working with multinational clients across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, technology, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, or diversified industry.

• Familiarity with digital sustainability platforms, ESG data solutions, AI-enabled delivery tools, or operational analytics technologies.

• Professional certifications related to EHS, sustainability, environmental management, energy management, or operational excellence.

• Advanced qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, business administration, or related disciplines.

Strategic Leadership & Practice Growth

• Drive the growth of the SSO service portfolio through CDH.

• Develop scalable global delivery models and strengthen collaboration with regional practices.

• Build capabilities across EHS, ESG, decarbonization, operational excellence, water, waste and supply chain sustainability.

• Support FY growth plans through talent, innovation and operational excellence.

Client Delivery & Technical Excellence

• Provide oversight of complex global consulting engagements.

• Advise clients on EHS management systems, sustainability strategies, compliance programs, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and GHG management frameworks.

• Drive quality, risk management and delivery excellence.

• Support digital and data-driven sustainability solutions.

Business Development & Commercial Leadership

• Partner with global client account teams to identify opportunities and grow revenue.

• Lead proposals, solution development and commercial strategies.

• Build executive-level relationships with multinational clients.

• Support multi-million-dollar sales pursuits and account growth.

People Leadership

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary consulting teams.

• Build CDH capability and succession pipelines.

• Recruit, develop and retain top consulting talent.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture.
