Director, Transformation Program

Job Summary:

Drive enterprise transformation by translating company strategy into an actionable roadmap and workforce modernization plan. Oversee the AI and automation portfolio to enhance operational efficiency and ensure responsible, secure use of data and technology. Partner with senior leaders and IT to align platforms, remove obstacles, and accelerate strategic outcomes across the organization.

Job Description:

• Translate enterprise strategy into a comprehensive Transformation Roadmap and workforce modernization plan to build the organizational capabilities, culture, structures, and skills required for long‑term operational excellence.
• Build a Value Realization Office to establish baselines, validate financial and operational benefits, and ensure transparent reconciliation with Finance that demonstrates measurable impact.
• Drive cultural transformation across all initiatives and model enterprise‑level leadership behaviors to embed new ways of working, strengthen organizational capability, and sustain long‑term change adoption.
• Oversee the enterprise AI and automation portfolio and establish governance frameworks that ensure secure, ethical, and scalable technologies that materially improve operational performance.
• Develops and executes departmental strategies to support organizational goals and long-term vision.
• Partner with senior leaders and IT/Enterprise Architecture to shape transformation strategy, present high‑value business cases, remove systemic barriers, and align platforms and decisions that accelerate enterprise outcomes.
• Leads division-wide budget planning, forecasting, and high-level resource allocation to align financial resources with long-term business goals, while ensuring operational and financial efficiency.
• Establishes performance frameworks and integrates KPIs into business planning to measure success.
• Champions and models enterprise-wide adherence to governance, compliance, and ethical standards while fostering a workplace culture rooted in diversity, safety, fairness, open communication, and the highest levels of ethical behavior to uphold organizational integrity and regulatory alignment.
• Leads and supports organizational strategies for the restoration of critical services and emergency preparedness to ensure business continuity and community trust.
• Embraces and leads additional strategic responsibilities as needed to advance enterprise objectives and organizational resilience.

Additional Job Description:

Education

• Bachelor’s in Business Administrationrelated field

 

Experience

• 10 years' experience in leading cross‑functional transformation programs in complex, asset‑intensive organizations (utilities, energy, manufacturing, transportation), and at least 5 years' of progressive experience in a leadership or management roles overseeing multiple departments and/or functional areas.
• Experience in budget planning, development and effective administration.

Additional education may substitute for the required experience when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 8 years of experience performing related functions and at least 4 years of progressive experience in a leadership or management roles overseeing multiple departments and/or functional areas.
• Doctor’s degree in a relevant field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 4 years of experience performing related functions and with a progressive experience in a leadership or management roles overseeing multiple departments and/or functional areas.
• Experience in Program/Project Management, Change Management, and Process Improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).

Competencies (Skills)

• Proven executive presence: board‑level communications, influencing C‑suite, and leading through ambiguity
• Hands‑on leadership of value capture (financial validation, operational KPIs) and portfolio governance
• Technical fluency to oversee AI/RPA/automation and data initiatives; can challenge assumptions and make trade‑offs.
• Experience working with IT on platform selection, integration, model governance, and security.
• Bilingual Spanish/English (spoken and written) preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• PMP, PgMP or PMI‑ACP; Prosci/CCMP is required
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt; ITIL; CGEIT/COBIT familiarity
