Position Overview:

As an Audiologist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping patients of all ages achieve better communication, greater independence, and an improved quality of life.

In this role, you will independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with hearing, balance, and related auditory disorders. You will develop and implement personalized care plans, perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments, and provide evidence-based treatment recommendations tailored to each patient's unique needs. Opportunities may also include hearing aid evaluations, fittings, dispensing, programming, and ongoing counseling to support patients throughout their hearing healthcare journey.

Using strong clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills, you will collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, patients, families, and caregivers to deliver coordinated, high-quality care. Through compassionate communication, patient education, and attentive follow-up, you will build trusted relationships that promote positive outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.

As a valued member of the rehabilitation and specialty care team, you will contribute to a culture of clinical excellence while adhering to all applicable regulatory, professional, and organizational standards. You will also support the professional development of future healthcare providers by assisting with clinical supervision of assistants and aides and serving as a clinical instructor for assigned students.

Other: Graduate of an accredited audiology program.


CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

AUDIO-Licensed Audiologist

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

2 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Critical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently.

Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.

Must be able to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines.

Computer and required technology proficiency/ competencies.

Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.

Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.

Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.

Pay Range is $128,814.40 to $180,336.00 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
