Program Assistant - Adult Day Social

STATUS: Full-Time             

LOCATION: Unity Living Center        

DEPARTMENT: Home Health Aide

SCHEDULE: 8:00am- 4:30pm Monday-Friday (Saturday Every 4 Weeks)        

ATTRIBUTES

• One (1) year of Home Health Aide experience in home, community based or LTC setting

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning. Assist in planning and implementing outings for Participants ;  provide daily documentation of patient care.
• Patient Care. Perform patient  care such as feeding, grooming and transferring as determined by their care plan; prepare and distribute meals and snacks; assist with recreation/leisure activities; report any changes in patient  status to Senior Program Assistant or Activity Coordinator in a timely manner
• Customer Service. Greet participants upon arrival; remove coats and guide to program area; prepare participants  for departure

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

PAY RANGE:

$17.60 - $18.60Rochester14611

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
