Sr Test Operations & Fleet Manager

About the Role

The Senior Test Operations & Fleet Manager (Test Ops PM) is responsible for leading large-scale test laboratory operations, fleet management, and infrastructure readiness across complex hyperscale hardware development programs. This role serves as the operational leader for test environments, ensuring that test resources, rack deployments, lab capacity, and execution plans are aligned to support engineering validation, qualification, and launch schedules.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of technical program management, operational excellence, and infrastructure management expertise. Working across engineering, validation, lab operations, supply chain, and data center teams, this leader drives efficient resource utilization, maximizes testing throughput, and ensures the organization has the operational readiness required to meet critical development milestones.

What You Will Do

• Lead day-to-day test lab operations supporting multiple hardware and infrastructure development programs.
• Manage test fleet planning, capacity forecasting, and resource allocation across engineering and validation teams.
• Drive rack-level deployment, configuration, and execution activities to ensure efficient utilization of test environments.
• Coordinate test infrastructure readiness, including hardware availability, networking, power, cooling, and lab capacity requirements.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that optimize testing throughput, cycle times, and fleet efficiency.
• Partner with engineering, firmware, validation, and platform teams to align test schedules with program milestones and release timelines.
• Monitor test lab performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous process improvements.
• Establish governance processes for resource prioritization, change management, issue escalation, and operational reporting.
• Lead cross-functional coordination for new lab deployments, fleet expansions, and capacity scaling initiatives.
• Drive operational readiness reviews and ensure critical test environments are available to support validation and qualification activities.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and competing priorities across multiple programs and test environments.
• Provide regular status updates, operational insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in technical program management, test operations, lab management, infrastructure operations, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience managing large-scale test labs, hardware fleets, validation environments, or data center infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles, system validation processes, and engineering test methodologies.
• Experience with rack-level systems, server platforms, networking infrastructure, and hyperscale environments.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, validation, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
• Expertise in capacity planning, resource allocation, operational forecasting, and performance management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage metrics and operational data to drive decisions and improve efficiency.
• Experience implementing process improvements that increase testing throughput, utilization, and operational effectiveness.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, highly complex environments while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proven track record of building scalable operational processes and delivering critical infrastructure support for large engineering programs.
