Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Tablet Logs in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, medical emergencies, alarms, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing guests to appropriate locations and reporting access concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and policy violations accurately; communicate relevant information to school administrators, Allied Universal leadership, and responding public service personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
