PRIMARY FUNCTION:  The Project Lead III is the on-site Manager/Furnishing Management Office and provides project management and operations support for warehousing and furniture delivery services and products to support JBER.. The Furnishings Management Office (FMO) is responsible for the management and daily operation of the Unaccompanied Personnel Housing Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manages, reorganizes, and supervises the FMO warehouse program and support staff in accordance with PWS and applicable DOD directives. Supervises and manages a delivery and pick-up scheduling system and associated databases.
• Manages the furniture warehouse operation and overseas the maintenance of an issue and receipt database, specifically in the Enterprise Military Housing (eMH) database. Responsible for the conversion of the existing manual warehousing systems to a totally integrated and automated system.
• Plans, coordinates and supervises the conduct of the annual 100% inventory of authorized furnishings. Overseas the maintenance of a consumption database for each of the authorized items of furniture.
• Ensures that furnishings program levels are maintained to support the military community.
• Provides oversight to the FMO Customer Service Office in accordance with AF directives and established policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• The Project Lead I may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has supervisory responsibilities over employees.   Provides counsel and guidance to ensure all tasks are being completed accurately and efficiently.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred
• Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members
• Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
• Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
• Ability to follow a process.
• Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
• Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
• Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to program management or 3 years specialized experience in DoD furnishings and warehouse management programs in support of Housing Services
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record required
• Knowledge of DOD standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to specific functions assigned
• Knowledge of all related automated supply databases to include an in-depth knowledge of the eMH database to enter, correct and retrieve recurring reports and information.
• Ability to plan and coordinate a complete reorganization of a Warehouse Program and incorporate automated inventory programs based on an in-depth knowledge of available systems and programs used by DOD
• Ability to develop and maintain a close working relationship with the Chief, Housing Division and related entities located on JBER
• Ability to pass DoD physical and background investigation required


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
A fast paced multi-tasking customer service oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance.  Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities.  Overtime may be required.
