Description
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities across the BHC portfolio. This is not a reactive booking role. It is a dedicated prospecting and relationship-building position focused on identifying, cultivating, and qualifying new business through outbound outreach, networking, strategic partnerships, and market development across group, corporate, transient, and leisure segments.
This role works closely with the commercial leadership team and property-level sales managers to strengthen the sales pipeline, expand market presence, and drive awareness of BHC’s hotels, restaurants, and venues. The Business Development Manager opens doors and creates qualified opportunities. Property sales teams close them.

Prospect local, regional, and national accounts through outbound sales efforts including calls, emails, in-person meetings, and networking.
Re-engage lost business opportunities and dormant accounts with a structured recovery approach.
Follow up on warm inquiries and unconverted leads to maximize revenue conversion.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell across BHC properties, restaurants, and venues.
Qualify new opportunities and transition them to the appropriate property sales manager with a complete handoff.
Maintain an active, current pipeline of qualified prospects and consistently meet prospecting, appointment, and lead generation goals.
Market Representation and Strategic Partnerships
Represent BHC at industry trade shows, sales missions, networking events, community organizations, client events, familiarization trips, and partner meetings.
Develop and maintain relationships with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, ALHI, Beyond Collection, luxury travel advisors, meeting planners, corporate decision-makers, destination organizations, tourism partners, and local business leaders.
Identify emerging business opportunities, monitor competitive activity, and recommend new partnership and development opportunities to commercial leadership.
Support commercial initiatives that drive portfolio-wide revenue and market positioning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three to five years of sales or business development experience in luxury hospitality, hotels, or a related industry.
Demonstrated track record of outbound prospecting, lead generation, and new account development.
Experience selling across multiple segments (group, corporate, transient, leisure) and across a multi-property or portfolio environment preferred.
Familiarity with luxury consortium networks (Preferred Hotels, ALHI, Beyond Collection) and the travel advisor landscape preferred.
Working knowledge of Delphi or comparable sales and catering systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
