The principal responsibility of the Cease Engineering Team Leader is to manage a team of Cease Engineers coordinating the successful cessations of services for existing connectivity customers against an agreed cease criteria.

This role will provide leadership and direction to this team based in Cyberjaya tasked with cease activities across connectivity ceases, technical teams and service teams, ensuring services for the customer ceased effectively.
The role will support the development of Cease Engineering practices throughout the business, building strong relationships with other functions and the wider company.

- Deliverable 2: Communication and tracking – This role must ensure all key stakeholders are engaged at the correct time and are kept informed of the status of connectivity cease activities.
- Deliverable 3: Effective task management – Ensuring all connectivity cease tasks are completed on time or referred to responsible areas.
- Deliverable 4: Proactive approach – Willingness to engage with unfamiliar tasks and escalate problems in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
- Lead and guide the Cease Engineers responsible for connectivity cease activities across the business divisions.
- Monitor staff performance via appropriate performance metrics and implement corrective action where there are shortcomings.
- Maintain a high level of morale and motivation amongst staff.
- Proactively manage day-to-day operations to meet committed service level agreements.
- Work closely with other functions within the wider company to ensure all cease activities are completed successfully.
Resource Management
- Assist in the recruitment and retain a high-quality team of Cease Engineers.
- Manage leave requests and plan work schedules to always ensure adequate coverage, especially during festive seasons.
- Ensure all team members have the appropriate tools to access full information and fulfil all aspects of their role.
Connectivity Ceases
- Ensure connectivity cease tasks are acknowledged and actioned through to completion.
- Monitor Exit management mailbox and respond when required.
- Regular updates to all relevant stakeholders, customers and vendors.
- Assist project managers/ co-ordinators if requested.
- Completion of housekeeping tasks.
Risk Management
- Identify and highlight potential problems.
- Use escalation process
- Be aware of security risks
- Share knowledge and information surrounding issues.
Process Management/Continual Improvement
- Support the continual improvement of the connectivity cease processes.
- Support any internal and external audits as required.
- Work with peers and mentors to progress working knowledge
- Upskill should the need arise.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Service-related certification such as ITIL or SDI.
- Microsoft Fundamentals Certification.
- 1 Years’ experience of working in an ITIL conformant Managed Service Environment
- Technical Awareness of Cloud and Infrastructure Services
- Experience with the use of a CSM/ITSM toolset (ideally ServiceNow)
- Managing your own workload
- Understanding of IT service management principles
- Active Directory User and Group Administration
- Office 365 User Administration
- Understanding of managed services cease requirements
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Excellent leadership, organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively
