Prairie Band, LLC is seeking a Data Coordinator to support DOI – Bureau of Indian Education at Turtle Mountain Middle School in Belcourt, ND.


Project Scope Statement: The contractor will take on the critical responsibility of systematically organizing, disseminating, and presenting the academic and behavioral data for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school year, which will include tools such as Fastrbridge and NDA+. This process will entail gathering and synthesizing both current and historical data, allowing for a thorough analysis of trends and patterns over time.


Key Responsibilities for the Project

A. Data Infrastructure Development

• Design and implement data structures to monitor academic performance, behavior

incidents, and attendance.

• Establish protocols for data collection, entry, and maintenance to ensure accuracy

and consistency.

• Integrate various data sources to provide a holistic view of student performance.

B. Data Analysis and Reporting

• Conduct regular analyses of academic and behavioral data to identify students in

need of support.

• Generate reports for stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

• Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions and suggest

adjustments as needed.

C. Staff Training and Support

• Provide professional development sessions on data literacy and the use of data in

instructional planning.

• Offer ongoing coaching to staff on interpreting data and implementing data-driven

interventions.

• Develop user guides and resources to assist staff in utilizing data tools effectively

• Teacher weekly online follow-up training. Based on that needs to be worked on a

virtual email with videos, research, and resources will be provided weekly.

D. Compliance and Collaboration

• Ensure data practices comply with FERPA and other relevant regulations.

• Collaborate with special education teams to align MTSS data with IEP and 504 plans.

• Work with external partners and agencies to support comprehensive student

services

Requirements

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Psychology, Data Science, Statistics, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in a K–12 school setting working directly with student academic and behavioral data, MTSS/RTI implementation, or school improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience:
    • Designing and maintaining data infrastructures to monitor academic performance, behavior incidents, and attendance.
    • Analyzing academic and behavioral data to identify students in need of Tier 2/Tier 3 supports and to evaluate       intervention effectiveness.
    • Creating customized data reports and dashboards for teachers, administrators, and school boards.
    • Facilitating data meetings and coaching administrators and teachers on how to prepare for and lead data-driven       conversations.
    • Providing professional development and ongoing coaching to staff on data literacy, data tools, and using data to       inform instruction and interventions.
    • Ensuring compliance with FERPA and applicable state/federal data reporting requirements.
  • Experience working with common K–12 data systems and tools (e.g., FastBridge, NDA+, student information systems,      Cognia/Plan for Learning reporting, or similar platforms).

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Education (M.Ed.), Educational Leadership, School Psychology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Current or prior certification/licensure in education (e.g., teaching license, administrator license, school counselor, or school psychologist) is strongly preferred.
  • Documented training or certification in MTSS/PBIS, data-based decision making, or response-to-intervention (RTI) frameworks.
  • Experience working in tribal schools, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) schools, or other Indigenous education contexts.
  • Experience supporting school improvement planning, accreditation processes (e.g., Cognia), and state/federal reporting.
  • Proven track record of improving student engagement, SEL outcomes, and academic performance through data-driven MTSS practices.
  • Experience developing user guides, training materials, and “data tidbits” (short, actionable resources with videos, research, and tools) for teachers.
  • Experience managing a mix of on-site and virtual coaching, including facilitating regular staff trainings and weekly virtual follow-ups.
