Description

Boulder County Human Services is seeking to hire a Human Services Caseworker B. The Human Services Caseworker B performs a variety of complexed professional social work duties in Human Services Program areas such as child abuse and neglect, you-in-conflict, adults unable to protect their own interest, recruitment and supervision of foster homes and placement into foster and adoptive homes. This is an office-based position that will perform a variety of complex professional social work duties in Humans Services Department program area specific to child protective services. There is substantial independent field work meeting the child and families.
This is a full-time, benefited position that will work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. This position follows a hybrid schedule, with work performed both remotely and at our Longmont office located at 515 Coffman Street in Longmont, CO. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $63,828.00 - $77,886.00 annually
Tentative Hiring Timeline:
- Phone Screening: Week of September 28th
- First Round Interviews: Week of October 5th
- Second Round Interviews: Week of October 12th
- Language Proficiency Test: Week of October 12th
- Reference Check: Week of October 12th

- Conducts Investigations of alleged child abuse and neglect.
- Assesses and evaluates child safety and family and caregiver strengths and needs.
- Counsels and supports children and families to create safety and stable environments.
- Determines in children should be placed outside the home, monitors foster care placement and makes recommendations related to child safety and return home.
- Prepares legal documents and testifies in court.
- Completes required documentation and compliance activities to support work.
- Performs related work as required.
- May be reassigned in emergency situations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of
- A bachelor's degree from a higher education institution with coursework related to the job responsibilities of child welfare social caseworker. Coursework examples can include and are not limited to, the development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, or therapeutic techniques
AND
- One year of professional human services casework experience.
BACKGOUND CHECK & FINGERPRINTING:

DRIVER'S LICENSE & RELIABLE VEHICLE:
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and current automobile insurance
