Summary:
Manage all Renovation Department projects, approximately $2.5 – 3 million annually. Provide client interface throughout project and maintain timely communications. Responsible for project timeline and budget management on multiple simultaneous projects.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Operations
Responsible for the successful execution of all assigned projects
Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
Ensure all materials are delivered and recorded, including material ordering through various vendors
Coordinate delivery timing for project needs
Enter invoices to ensure timely vendor payments
Ensure client satisfaction in alignment with company vision and beliefs, serving as the primary client interface throughout the project with timely communication and updates
Facilitate weekly updates to keep clients and team informed
Ensure all projects operate within contracted schedules, establishing a project timeline at the onset of work and providing timely updates on any delays
Coordinate subcontractor work
Ensure all projects are completed profitably through regular monitoring of project costs
Provide timely feedback to field managers regarding cost concerns
Provide timely feedback to the project sales representative and advise on change order needs
Revenue Generation
Meet with clients to promote and sell project change orders
Prepare and deliver basic project change order contracts
Provide clients with information regarding other Glengate services
Support interdepartmental sales staff when possible
Department Operations
Participate in SOP development and annual reviews
Provide timely feedback to supervisor regarding concerns or corrections needed
Support safe and efficient adherence to company standards
Participate in evaluations of new products and equipment
Assist with implementation of new SOPs and support the deployment process
Employee Development
Continue education and training through industry seminars and conferences
Participate, as needed, in developmental training of new Renovation staff
Business Development
Support the Department Manager with all business development initiatives
Participate in industry seminars and association meetings
Participate in growth planning strategies, providing input into growth planning opportunities and initiatives
Additional Responsibilities May Include
Conduct pool inspections
Conduct new pool client instructions
Conduct new client PCAA sales
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Minimum High School diploma; College Degree preferred
Experience
Industry Experience: Ten years of experience in the pool industry preferred, including technical or management
Project Management: Three years of experience effectively managing complex or multiple projects
Sales: Three years direct project sales experience; pool industry experience preferred
Customer Service: Five years working full time in customer service, with demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and employees
Professional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, internet searches, and Aspire
Ability to read, understand, and develop Aspire and Excel reports and spreadsheets
Ability to read and understand accounting spreadsheets
Ability to manage expenses related to labor, tools, and materials
Personal Skills and Aptitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with clients, vendors, employees, and management in a team environment
Ability to resolve conflicts appropriately
Ability to organize, prioritize, and allocate workload efficiently
Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
Physical Effort
Work is performed in a hybrid office environment, with a routine field environment
Requires sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time, at times in harsh weather; candidate should be in good physical health
Frequent driving to client properties, sometimes 100-200 miles per day
Occasional lifting of 30-50 pound containers
Operating a variety of office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, printers, and desk or file cabinet drawers
