Overview

Position Overview

The Quality Control Sampler is responsible for inspecting, sampling, and retaining raw materials, outsourced bulk materials, and requested products in accordance with established procedures. This role also supports document scanning and electronic storage to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance.

 

Shift: 2:00pm-12:30am Monday-Thursday 

Pay: $18.00 per hour + $0.90 shift differential

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sampling and inspection of sister site materials, raw material and outside bulk receipts for physical damage, contamination, correct labeling, compliance, and documentation accuracy in a dietary supplement environment, etc.
  • Plays integral role in the Quality Control check system on the identification, coding, and quantity of raw materials/bulk product received.
  • Working knowledge of sister site products, raw material and 3rd party bulk receipts.
  • Responsible for obtaining composite aseptic samples on all incoming raw materials and bulk product for the delivery to Chemistry and Microbiology Laboratories.
  • Accurately login, scan, and complete documentation of raw material and bulk receipts.
  • Responsible for the inventory log in of raw materials sampled at WDD and the monthly transfer of these retained pallets to the Anderson facility for storage and maintenance.
  • Will perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Raw Materials Supervisor
  • Know and understand the cGMP and other regulatory compliance
  • Ensure job specific safety procedures are established and followed
  • Maintain awareness and enforcement of health and safety practices and activities
  • Actively participate in health and safety training programs and demonstrate competency based on training received
  • Make safety a priority in daily operations by:
  • Actively participating in health and safety activities,
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements,
  • Ensuring adequate resources are provided, and
  • Providing suggestions for improvement to the health and safety program
  •  

    General Responsibilities

    • Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation.  
    • Requires regular attendance to perform essential elements as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work. 
    • Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.  
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    The Candidate

    Education, Experience, and Licenses:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 2-3 Years of relevant experience required

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Position requires constant standing and walking-must be able to collect samples in sample room and warehouse.
    • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
    • Must have hand dexterity to pipette, perform aseptic transfers and other routine functions related to opening containers for sampling purposes.
    • Basic pallet jack experience.
    • Good math, writing skills and communication skills. High level of initiative. Science background preferred
    • Basic computer skills, MS office preferred
