Overview of Position:

The Mastectomy Fitter is responsible for assessment of mastectomy patients. Performs physical assessment of mastectomy patient. formulates and implements a care plan based upon the assessment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1.    Greet Boutique customers & Mastectomy fitting clientele.
2.    Be proficient in the cash register use & daily sales logs, store credits, returns, gift cards, online payroll deduction, etc.
3.    Receive in merchandise from PO orders and credit card purchases, and perform proper required accounting and receiving procedures that are involved with checking in orders to the Boutique, manage good relationships with vendors.
4.    Inventory assessment
5.    Restocking, decorating and arranging
6.    Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments
7.    Update customer information and track customer orders
8.    Maintain EPIC system for the Genesis Women’s Boutique
9.    Attend staff meetings as scheduled
10.    Balance and deposit cash register daily
11.    Visit post-op Mastectomy patients on the surgical units before the patient is discharged to provide immediate post mastectomy garment kit instructions and post op fitting information.
12.    Assess mastectomy patient insurance verification/benefit
13.    Assess mastectomy patient provider order
14.    Perform physical assessment on mastectomy clients to evaluate prosthetic and bra size, skin integrity, posture, balance, swelling at surgical site/lymphedema, any voiced questions or concerns from the client.
15.    Formulate a care plan based upon the assessments, this may include: verifying orders and/or modifying order per physician or caregiver, needs assessment, review history, EPIC flow sheet.
16.    Implement a Mastectomy fitting care plan for each individual client.
17.    Utilize a follow up plan that coincides with the clients goals & satisfaction, PMI, and confirm client understands education, care of product, warranty information, and Medicare standards, if applicable.
18.    Compliance with all policy and procedures.
19.    Fitters will follow, The Code of Professional Responsibility: Rules & Procedure (American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics), including Mastectomy Fitter Guidelines for Continuing Education MCE.

QUALIFICATIONS
1.    HS Diploma or GED required.
2.    Required to attend Mastectomy Fitting Training Seminar and Advanced Seminar (professional board approved)
3.    Non-Allied Health Professionals are required to complete 250 hours of mastectomy fitting patient care experience under supervision of professional Certified Mastectomy Fitter. Allied Health professionals are required to complete 125 hours of mastectomy fitting patient care experience under supervision of professional Certified Mastectomy Fitter.
4.    Upon completion of above training requirements, incumbent must sit for Certified Mastectomy Fitter exam.
5.    Solid written and verbal communication skills.
6.    Knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel).
7.    Ability to handle multiple priorities.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  

1.    Works in an office environment.  May need to travel to other Genesis locations.
2.    Answers telephone calls, uses personal computer and other business machines extensively, which requires the ability to apply finger dexterity.  Individual bends, reaches, pushes and pulls file drawers to file records and reports.
3.    Regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
4.    Vision abilities required include up close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
