This position will be on-site at the Clearfield, UT manufacturing facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Collect, validate, analyze, and report manufacturing data related to production output, labor utilization, scrap, downtime, throughput, material flow, equipment performance, quality, safety, and cost performance.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators that provide visibility to manufacturing engineering and operations performance, including metrics such as cycle time, OEE, capacity, yield, scrap, labor efficiency, and process reliability.
  • Support manufacturing engineering projects by analyzing current processes, production layouts, work methods, line balance, material handling, tooling, equipment performance, and process constraints.
  • Perform time studies, capacity analysis, workflow analysis, and process performance evaluations to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to production efficiency, labor utilization, and material flow.
  • Analyze trends, identify root causes, and recommend data-driven improvements to production processes, layouts, work methods, equipment utilization, quality performance, and material handling systems.
  • Support Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, waste reduction, standard work, and cost reduction projects by providing accurate data analysis, baseline measurements, validation results, and process performance reporting.
  • Partner with production teams to evaluate new product lines, process changes, equipment performance, tooling changes, automation opportunities, and operational improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in documenting process changes, standard work, engineering observations, improvement recommendations, and project results to support consistent manufacturing engineering decision-making.
  • Create standard data collection methods, improve data accuracy, and document reporting processes to support consistent decision-making across manufacturing engineering and operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Technology, or a related field is required; equivalent manufacturing engineering analytics experience may be considered.
  • General understanding of manufacturing engineering principles, production processes, process flow, line balance, equipment utilization, tooling, work instructions, standard work, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Ability to work with mathematical and analytical concepts such as statistical analysis, time studies, capacity analysis, cost analysis, forecasting, process capability, and manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Ability to observe current manufacturing processes, understand inefficiencies, analyze supporting data, and help develop, validate, and implement improvements.
  • Experience supporting Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, standard work, value stream mapping, or continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and experience with reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience working with manufacturing systems, ERP/MRP systems, MES data, databases, SQL, or production reporting systems is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate data insights, engineering observations, and improvement recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical audiences and work in a team environment.
