Rotational shifts between 07:00am–22:00pm

Any 5 days out of 6 Sunday – Friday

Temporary with potential to be made Permanent after 12 successful weeks

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join a busy and fast-paced operation in Northampton.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, leading a team of warehouse operatives and ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support warehouse operatives to achieve daily KPIs and operational targets.
• Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities within your allocated department.
• Allocate and prioritise workloads to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Promote and maintain high Health & Safety standards across the warehouse.
• Ensure all processes are followed in line with company SOPs.
• Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and PDA/scanner devices to monitor stock and maintain accuracy.
• Ensure warehouse equipment is used safely and correctly.
• Monitor team performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
• Work closely with other departments to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
• Lead by example and actively participate in warehouse duties when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient working environment.

 

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience within a supervisory or Team Leader experience.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Experience using PDA/scanner devices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexible, organised and process-driven approach.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and productivity.
• Counterbalance forklift licence.
