Are you organized, detail-oriented, and someone who enjoys helping both customers and coworkers succeed? Pillar Bank is looking for a Loan Assistant/Processor to join our team.

In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting our lending team and customers throughout the loan process. You’ll help prepare loan documentation, maintain accurate loan and collateral files, coordinate with third-party vendors, track required documentation, and ensure loans are processed accurately and efficiently.


What You’ll Do


As a Loan Assistant/Processor, you will:

  • Prepare and review loan documents and disclosures accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist customers with loan-related questions in person and over the phone.
  • Gather and verify information needed to process and close loans.
  • Order appraisals, title work, lien and UCC searches, insurance documentation, credit reports, and other required items.
  • Track outstanding documentation and follow up with vendors to keep loans moving forward.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical loan, credit, and collateral files.
  • Record and process loan documents, including mortgages, vehicle titles, UCCs, satisfactions, and releases.
  • Coordinate loan closings with lenders, title companies, attorneys, and other parties as needed.
  • Maintain accurate tickler and follow-up systems for insurance, collateral, and other required documentation.
  • Process paid loans and prepare applicable payoff or release documentation.
  • Provide backup and support to other members of the lending team as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional service to our customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in accuracy, communicates well, and can manage multiple priorities while providing a great customer experience.


Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Financial Services, Administrative Assistance, or a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of related and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and positively as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding customer information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Previous banking, lending, loan processing, or financial services experience is a plus.
