Who you'll be:
The Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) Subject-Matter Expert (SME) provides strategic consultation to enhance the Agency's ZTA maturity in alignment with federal mandates and the Agency's Cybersecurity Strategy. The role involves evaluating current enterprise architecture, updating the ZTA Implementation Plan, and drafting the OIT Zero Trust Optimization Roadmap. The SME supports the Zero Trust Architecture Implementation & Optimization Integrated Project Team (IPT) and maintains dashboards and documentation to communicate ZTA maturity progress.
What you'll do:
- Serve as Zero Trust SME and strategic consultant to Government leadership.
- Evaluate the Agency's Enterprise Architecture and identify adoption opportunities from a ZTA perspective.
- Identify technology/capability gaps and recommend tools to enhance ZTA capabilities.
- Update the ZTA Implementation Plan and draft the OIT Zero Trust Optimization Roadmap.
- Draft and maintain the Agency's Security Modernization Strategy.
- Support ZTA Implementation & Optimization IPT and consensus-building across working groups.
- Prioritize modernization initiatives and track ZTA risks, issues, and metrics.
- Maintain the SecMod/ZT JIRA project board and develop BI dashboards tracking ZTA maturity.
- Develop technical documentation and executive summaries for security modernization efforts.
What you need:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in information assurance, cybersecurity, risk management, or compliance; or a bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years of such experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with M-22-09, Zero Trust Architecture pillars, CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model, and related frameworks and standards.
- Experience with Risk Assessments, NIST SP 800-37 RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and security policy writing.
- One of the following certifications: ISC2 CISSP, ISACA CISM, ISACA CRISC, GIAC GCED, or CompTIA CEH.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
