Description
New CDL holders around New Orleans: paid training first, then $1,200 to $1,800 a week running OTR.
Straight answers for new drivers
I have zero experience. Will you hire me?
Yes. 120+ hours from CDL school qualifies you.
Do I pay for training?
No. You're paid while you train one-on-one with an experienced mentor.
What do I earn once I'm solo?
$1,200 to $1,800 a week, about $62,400 to $93,600 a year. That comes from mileage pay plus $15 per stop, on 1,800 to 2,900 miles a week. Paid weekly by direct deposit.
Where do I drive?
OTR lanes east of Denver, minus the Northeast. A mix of drop-and-hook, live load, live unload and preloads.
How often am I home?
Every two weeks.
Do I get my own truck?
Yes. An assigned late-model automatic or 10-speed, about 1.5 years old, with 24/7 dispatch.
What about benefits?
After 30 days: medical, dental, vision, prescription, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, paid time off and annual raises.
What do I need to qualify?
- Class A CDL from your home state; 21 or older
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
- No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
- DOT physical and a hair and urine drug screen
