Industrial Automation Engineer

As an Industrial Automation Engineer, which we call a Senior Lean Engineering Analyst, you will be at the forefront of proposing new automation and optimization ideas to support to Best Buy’s Canadian Distribution Centers (DC). 

 

In this hybrid role, the successful candidate is needed to be in the Greater Toronto Area(GTA), where you will work 4 days per week out of Brampton DC and work remotely for 1 day of the week.

What you’ll do as an Industrial Automation Engineer:

• Plan and design automated systems that increase productivity by improving the integration of people, processes, and technology
• Design and implement improvements to automation equipment to increase efficiency and productivity for current and future business needs
• Evaluate, analyze, recommend, and implement improvements pertaining to all distribution center processes, and material handling changes for configuration, reverse logistics, automated systems, and fulfillment operations
• Manage projects of various sizes related to facility layout and design, relocation, new process integration, process revisions, technology deployment, labor modeling, and other related efficiency and waste reduction initiatives
• Collaborative with highly skilled engineers, analysts, and supply chain specialists

 

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience with engineering, logistics, or distribution field
• 2+ years of experience implementing warehouse automation or industrial automation solutions. 
• Advanced AutoCAD and Excel skills
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or related discipline
• Certified in Lean & Six Sigma Black Belt preferred

Annualized Compensation Range

$80,000.00 - $95,000.00

Starting pay offered will consider skills and experience. Your pay can grow as you build your career with us.
