Position Overview

We are seeking a Billing & Premium Audit Release & CI/CD Delivery Engineer to lead release orchestration and deployment execution across Billing and Premium Audit platforms. This role is accountable for coordinating CI/CD pipelines, environment readiness, deployment planning, release validation, defect triage, stabilization, and production cutover activities. The ideal candidate brings strong technical delivery discipline, hands-on DevSecOps exposure, and the ability to manage complex cross-team dependencies across application, infrastructure, database, batch, QA, business, and production support partners. This role will help ensure controlled, low-risk, and well-governed production releases that improve reliability, predictability, and business confidence.

Key Responsibilities

·         Lead end-to-end CI/CD driven release orchestration for Billing and Premium Audit platforms, including deployment planning, sequencing, readiness reviews, and production cutover execution.

·         Coordinate deployment pipelines across application, database, batch, API, and cloud components, ensuring all release gates, approvals, validations, and controls are completed on schedule.

·         Partner with engineering, QA, DevSecOps, architecture, infrastructure, business, and production support teams to manage dependencies and reduce late-cycle release risk.

·         Drive environment readiness across DEV, QA, PTE, production, and other required environments by validating access, configuration, integrations, data, batch schedules, and deployment prerequisites.

·         Facilitate release readiness checkpoints, dress rehearsals, go/no-go reviews, warranty planning, and post-release validation activities.

·         Lead defect triage and stabilization efforts during release testing, cutover, warranty, and production support windows, ensuring clear ownership and timely resolution.

·         Monitor build, deployment, security, and quality gates; escalate blockers proactively and coordinate remediation across internal and external partner teams.

·         Maintain release runbooks, implementation plans, rollback plans, deployment calendars, communication plans, and operational readiness documentation.

·         Support continuous improvement of CI/CD automation, release governance, deployment controls, branch strategy, and shift-left quality/security practices.

·         Use delivery metrics, release retrospectives, incident learnings, and pipeline performance insights to improve predictability, quality, and release confidence.

·         Partner with Agile leaders and delivery teams to align release plans with PI objectives, sprint commitments, backlog readiness, and cross-team dependency timelines.

·         Promote disciplined communication, transparent risk management, and strong execution accountability across distributed teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

·         5-8 years of experience in software engineering, release engineering, DevOps, production delivery, or technical delivery roles.

·         Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts, deployment pipelines, branching strategies, release controls, environment promotion, and rollback planning.

·         Experience coordinating complex application releases across multiple technical components, teams, and environments.

·         Hands-on exposure to tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Rally, ServiceNow, or comparable release and delivery platforms.

·         Ability to interpret build logs, deployment logs, application logs, batch logs, and monitoring alerts to support issue triage and stabilization.

·         Working knowledge of cloud, API, database, batch, and integration delivery patterns, preferably within AWS-enabled environments.

·         Experience supporting release readiness activities, dress rehearsals, go/no-go decisions, production cutovers, warranty support, and post-release validation.

·         Strong cross-team coordination skills with ability to manage dependency risks across engineering, QA, infrastructure, architecture, business, and production support teams.

·         Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive quick, structured issue resolution under release timelines.

·         Good understanding of DevSecOps practices, security gates, code quality reviews, automated testing, and shift-left quality/security expectations.

·         Ability to create clear release communications, implementation plans, runbooks, status updates, and leadership-ready risk summaries.

·         Experience working in Agile teams and partnering with RTEs, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Tech Leads, QA Leads, and release managers.

·         Ability to leverage AI tools and Copilot to improve productivity in release planning, log analysis, documentation, defect triage, and automation workflows.

·         Quality & Stabilization: defect triage, root cause coordination, functional testing, regression testing, E2E testing, UAT, production checkout

·         Security & Governance: DevSecOps controls, vulnerability remediation coordination, code quality gates, secure deployment practices, access readiness

·         Delivery Tools: Rally, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Teams, dashboards, release calendars, readiness checklists, and runbooks

·         Metrics & Continuous Improvement: deployment success rate, release predictability, defect trends, cycle time, lead time, build stability, and readiness health

Nice to Have

·         Experience supporting Billing, Premium Audit, insurance, financial, or enterprise transaction-processing platforms.

·         Experience with AWS migration, cloud modernization, database/batch migration, or large-scale platform transformation releases.

·         Knowledge of production support, observability, incident management, reliability engineering, and operational readiness practices.

·         Experience improving CI/CD automation, release governance, deployment controls, or environment management processes.

·         Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools, automated test generation, log analysis, and release documentation acceleration.
