Mechanical General Foreman - Norfolk, VA
RQC, LLC has been a leader in commercial and governmental design-build since 1996. We specialize in fast-track construction with a primary focus on the Department of Defense market, and our field teams work on location at every one of our projects. We're now hiring a Mechanical General Foreman to join our self-perform team in Norfolk, VA, supporting ongoing projects at Naval Station Norfolk.
As Mechanical General Foreman, you'll lead the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of our mechanical trades crews on site. Your crews may include Pipefitters, Plumbers, Sheet Metal Installers, and helper/trainee-level team members, so familiarity with each trade is a plus. You'll make sure work meets applicable codes and project specifications, using the right equipment and following required safety practices. You'll work with guidance from the Mechanical Superintendent and Project Manager, in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay: $110,000-$115,000 DOE
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with match
Requirements for this position include:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required for this position.
- Courses in construction management and/or mechanical trade school preferred.
- Five or more years of work experience as a Mechanical Foreman, with mechanical project sizes of at least $400,000 (commercial/industrial)
- Five or more years (or equivalent) of field or trade work experience with the installation of mechanical systems (Piping, Plumbing, and/or HVAC duct work & components).
- Experience in a combination of soldering and brazing of copper, welding of various ferrous and non-ferrous metals ranging in pipe sizes from ½" and larger piping. Installation of duct work and performing air leak testing.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Products (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
- BIM Software proficiency required.
- CPR/First Aid & OSHA-30 Certifications
- EM-385 Preferred Training can be provided.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in VA preferred.
