This position is responsible for maintaining product flow and relieving team members on the line for breaks and filling in during labor shortages while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Working Conditions and Physical Expectations

• Demonstrates strong listening skills, follows directions accurately, and collaborates effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of at least 85% of the job functions, processes, and responsibilities within the department.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to meet business objectives.
• Demonstrated dependability in meeting work schedules and job responsibilities.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow HACCP, GMP, food safety, and other applicable company policies and procedures.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, which may include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to safely work around moving equipment and machinery while following established safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a food production environment, including exposure to cold temperatures, moisture, noise, and food production odors.
• Ability to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include hard hats, hearing protection, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift, move, or otherwise handle materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work in a food production environment that may include exposure to hot and cold temperatures, wet conditions, and a fast-paced work setting.

Attendance Requirement 

• With the new UKG attendance policy update, employees must have three (3) points or fewer and maintain three (3) points or fewer to remain in their position.

 

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must have an excellent safety record and must not have any active safety violations. Active safety violations include Core Safety Mandate violations that remain active for 24 months and other safety violations that remain active in accordance with company policy.
• Any suspension in the previous 12 months will not be considered.
• Candidates must complete their 90-day probationary period to be eligible.

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
