HireNow Staffing is recruiting Emergency Room Registered Nurses for a healthcare client in Salem, Virginia.
Candidates with one year of acute care ER RN experience will be considered. Medical-surgical nurses may also be considered for cross-training into the emergency department, exclusively for night-shift positions.

Candidate Location Requirement
HireNow Staffing primarily recruits candidates who currently reside in the United States and live in the advertised location or surrounding commuting area, unless the posting explicitly states otherwise. U.S.-based candidates seeking relocation to Salem may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants residing outside the United States should not apply.
HireNow Package
- Listed Base Pay by Experience:
- 0–9 years: $32.33
- 10–19 years: $40.41
- 20+ years: $48.50
- Pay Basis: To be confirmed.
- Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.
- Day Shift: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Night Shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Mixed/Evening Shifts: Listed as options; specific hours and availability require confirmation.
- Listed Shift Differentials: Nights: $3.00; weekend days: $3.00; weekend nights: $7.00. Application and pay basis to be confirmed.
- Sign-On Bonus: Case-by-case consideration.
- Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case consideration.
The compensation bracket beginning at zero years does not establish eligibility for new graduates.
Role Overview
Anticipated responsibilities include:
- Assess patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions.
- Monitor changes in patient status and communicate concerns promptly.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Collaborate with emergency providers and the broader care team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support safe patient handoffs.
- Educate patients and families about treatment, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Follow department protocols and patient safety practices.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or associate degree from a professional nursing program.
- Current Virginia RN license or an applicable multistate compact RN license permitting practice in Virginia.
- Active, unencumbered RN licensure.
- American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Relevant nursing experience through one of the stated consideration pathways:
- One year of acute care ER RN experience; or
- Medical-surgical nursing experience for night-shift ER cross-training only.
- Ability to work three 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.
Under the client's submission criteria, all RN licenses must be verified through Nursys for current or prior disciplinary actions. Candidates with any history of nursing-license disciplinary action cannot be submitted.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of nursing.
