Summary: The Lead is responsible for the general operation of their specific department.  The Lead must have knowledge and the ability to perform all the positions in the department and operate all equipment in department.  They must cover for the Front line Supervisor in the event of periods of absence by the Supervisor. The position is responsible for verification that the area is free from hazards and that all Team Members are using their required Personal Protective Equipment. Other responsibilities include: Maintain load set up ahead of shipping crew, provide feedback to all Team Members on work performance consistent with Supervisor’s direction, communicate any concerns that Team Members report to Lead to the Supervisor immediately, fill in for Team Members as needed, and problem solving to support the Supervisor when necessary, inform supervisor of any mechanical breakdown, safety hazard or production problem,  assist Supervisor as needed.  All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety.  This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.  Work environment is casual.  Work also requires other duties as assigned.

Team members must have no more then 6 attendance points and must not have been suspended in the past 12 months
