Sales Representative – (4x4 & Transmission) NAPA Wetherill Park

About the role:

Are you passionate about the automotive industry and enjoy building strong customer relationships? We're looking for an experienced and driven Sales Representative to join our team and help grow our presence across South Sydney, Wollongong and Canberra.

About the Role

Reporting to the Channel Manager and working closely with NAPA Branch Managers, our Customer Development Managers (CDMs) are responsible for driving sales growth, gross margin performance, and customer success across their territory. Managing approximately 110 active and passive customer accounts, you'll build long-term partnerships, identify growth opportunities, solve customer challenges, and help rebuild and grow market share through proactive account management and business development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and growing a portfolio of existing customer accounts
• Identifying and securing new business opportunities within your territory
• Achieving sales and gross margin targets
• Building strong relationships through regular customer engagement and consultation
• Attending sales meetings, trade shows and training sessions
• Working closely with branch teams and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
• Championing a strong safety-first culture and demonstrating safe driving behaviours at all times

About You

We're seeking a motivated sales professional who loves building relationships and thrives in a customer-focused environment. We're ideally looking for someone with experience in the automotive aftermarket, 4WD or transmission sectors, particularly those who have previously worked in an external sales or territory management role. Candidates with strong experience in either the automotive, 4WD or transmission space will be supported to develop their knowledge in the other areas.

You will bring:

• Previous experience in account management, territory management or business development within the automotive industry. Transmission and/or 4x4 knowledge is highly regarded
• A proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer relationships
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
• Experience working in a KPI-driven environment
• The ability to build credibility and strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
• Experience using CRM systems
• A valid Australian driver's licence
• A genuine passion for the automotive industry
