We’re looking for a General Manager who lives and breathes hospitality and loves great beer. This person will lead our team, drive performance, and bring our mission to life through exceptional leadership and community connection. This role reports directly to the District Manager of Salt Lake Brewing Company.

What You’ll Be Doing

As General Manager, you will oversee all daily operations of the brewpub. You will drive profitability, develop talent, uphold service standards, and maintain our commitment to quality and community. You will lead both the front and back of house teams and serve as the go-to person for all things.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Culture

· Inspire and lead a team that thrives on collaboration, accountability, and positivity.

· Foster a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free work environment.

· Build a culture of excellence and ownership across FOH and BOH operations.

Operations

· Direct all aspects of daily restaurant management.

· Manage POS systems, printed menus (including draft and packaged beer lists), and overall flow of service.

· Maintain manager notes and shift communication in HotSchedules.

· Lead weekly manager meetings and daily pre-shifts to align and inform the team.

· Ensure compliance with labor laws, health codes, and DABC regulations.

Guest Experience

· Make every guest feel like a VIP. Exceptional service is a top priority.

· Handle guest feedback and resolve issues with care and professionalism.

· Represent the brand in the community and with visiting partners, brewers, and vendors.

Team Management

· Hire, train, and mentor team members while promoting retention and engagement.

· Use HotSchedules to manage staff scheduling and communication.

· Conduct performance reviews, coach underperformance, and celebrate wins.

· Ensure appropriate scheduling and coverage based on business volume.

Food, Beer, and Facilities

· Partner with the Chef to ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency.

· Oversee beer handling and ensure all draft systems are clean and functioning.

· Promote our locally brewed beer with knowledge and enthusiasm.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the building.

Financial Management

· Monitor budgets, manage P&Ls, and reconcile nightly deposits.

· Accurately record retail and beer inventory transfers.

· Work with leadership to optimize costs and improve financial performance.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table

· Minimum 2 years of full-service restaurant management experience.

· Passion for craft beer and a desire to represent a local brewing legacy.

· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Hands-on approach. You lead by example and are present on the floor.

· ServSafe Food Manager, and Manager Alcohol Certification, UDABS background and finger print check.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, POS systems, and HotSchedules.

· Education: High School Diploma or GED required

· Minimum Age: 21+

· Travel Required: Occasional (up to 20 percent)

· Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and move 165-lb. kegs. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and multitask in a busy setting.

· Certifications: ServSafe Food Manager, and Manager Alcohol Certification, UDABS background and finger print check.
