About the Smart Manufacturing Engineer Internship:

You’ll develop skills in project planning, cross-functional collaboration, and identifying innovative ways to apply AI to improve business and manufacturing processes.


Program Structure:

  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer
  • Location: Saukville, WI & Mequon, WI
  • Start Date: May 2027
  • Duration: Summer internship

What we're looking for:

  • Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Preferred experience:

  • Enthusiastic for new technology and process improvement.

What you'll focus on:

  • Help with the expansion of AI vision safety systems.
  • Assist with engineering practices for our plant robot.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Assist and/or lead multiple Digital Transformation -related projects supporting the different facets of the business.
  • Document and improve processes.
