VACANCY: B1900 CAPTAIN – SHORT-TERM CONTRACT

Are you a confident and experienced pilot who thrives in challenging operational environments? Starlite Aviation Group is looking for a skilled, safety-driven and experienced B1900 Captain to join our team on a short-term contract in Central Africa.

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Total Flight Time – 1,500 hours: Demonstrates a solid foundation of overall aviation experience.
  • Total PIC Experience – 1,300 hours: Significant command experience with responsibility for aircraft, crew and operational decisions.
  • B1900 / Same-Type Experience – 200 hours: Demonstrated experience operating the B1900 or aircraft of the same type.
  • B1900 / Same-Type PIC Experience – 100 hours: Proven command experience on the B1900 or aircraft of the same type.
  • Similar Operations PIC Experience – 100 hours: Previous command experience in similar operational environments.
  • Licensing: Qualified and licensed under all applicable laws and regulations to operate the aircraft.

QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The following qualifications are essential for the position:

  • Valid SACAA ATPL/CPL with Instrument Rating, as applicable
  • Valid Medical Certificate
  • Valid B1900 Type Rating
  • Valid AVSEC, Dangerous Goods and CRM certificates
  • Current and compliant with all applicable aviation regulatory and licensing requirements
  • Previous operational experience in similar environments will be highly regarded

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Contract: Short-term contract (mid November 2026 - end January 2027)
  • Location: Central Africa, with operations potentially including remote and challenging environments.
  • Rosters: Candidates must be flexible and willing to work variable schedules, including weekends and irregular hours depending on operational requirements.
  • Operational Environment: The role requires a high level of professionalism, sound decision-making and adaptability.
  • Team Environment: Strong communication, teamwork and crew coordination skills are essential.
  • Compliance: All operations are conducted in accordance with applicable aviation regulations, Starlite SOPs and strict safety standards.
