You will work with clients and engagement teams to investigate financial irregularities, quantify losses and damages, develop data-driven insights, and communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role requires the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality, integrity, and client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review financial records and other business documents to identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and potential misconduct.
  • Analyze financial data, trace discrepancies, and investigate suspected fraud or financial irregularities.
  • Research, forecast, and develop strategies to help prevent financial fraud and minimize business risk.
  • Investigate complex business matters and support clients in resolving financial, operational, and compliance-related issues.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, schedules, and analyses explaining findings, including revenue losses, damages, and impacts arising from contract breaches.
  • Provide litigation support, including preparing financial analyses and presenting findings for use as potential trial evidence.
  • Conduct financial record audits and reviews to assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, professional standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Lead the development of quantitative data analysis, data mining, and database-driven reporting solutions in support of forensic investigations, litigation, and regulatory compliance inquiries.
  • Conduct engagements in accordance with applicable professional, legal, regulatory, and firm requirements.
  • Support successful engagement execution by working within project parameters, managing resources and processes, and anticipating and resolving issues.
  • Deliver high-quality client work while meeting project budgets, timelines, and realization objectives.
  • Explain complex accounting, analytical, and technical concepts clearly to non-technical client personnel.
  • Provide value-added strategies and practical recommendations that help clients achieve their business objectives.
  • Apply an understanding of each client’s business, industry trends, benchmarking data, and forensic accounting practices to develop effective solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to add value for existing clients and support the development of new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to the firm’s brand awareness, market visibility, and growth within relevant industries.
  • Manage multiple investigations and projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in forensic accounting, transaction advisory, internal audit, external audit, investigations, fraud risk management, disputes, litigation support, or financial consulting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, audit procedures, and financial analysis.
  • Experience reviewing financial records, analyzing large data sets, identifying discrepancies, and preparing well-supported conclusions.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving, research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize competing deadlines, and work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Willingness to travel based on client and engagement requirements.
  • High level of professional integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional qualification or progress toward qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFE, or a comparable credential.
  • Experience supporting fraud investigations, economic damages calculations, contract disputes, regulatory inquiries, or litigation matters.
  • Experience with data analytics, data mining, database-driven reporting, or forensic technology tools.
  • Familiarity with financial crime risks, fraud schemes, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and investigative methodologies.
  • Experience using tools such as Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, IDEA, ACL, or other data analytics and visualization platforms.
  • Experience working with clients across multiple industries and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify client needs, develop practical recommendations, and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members or coordinating workstreams within a broader engagement team.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect forensic accounting analysis to client business objectives.
