Aircraft Component Technician

Overview

Under direct supervision, the Aircraft Component Technician assists aircraft maintenance personnel in the performance of aviation maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets maintenance manuals and required technical data to remove clean, process, and repair aircraft components
• Performs miscellaneous duties to support aircraft maintenance personnel performing maintenance tasks
• Must have a mechanical aptitude; mechanical experience is preferred
• Must have the ability to properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment
• Ability to comply with safety rules and procedures. Use protective equipment as required and be alert for unsafe conditions
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must have computer literacy
• This is an entry level position which requires extensive on the job training

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

• None

 Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO or higher.
