At Drybar, our philosophy is simple: Focus on one thing and be the best at it. For us, that’s blowouts. No cuts. No color. Just blowouts.
But being a Shift Lead at Drybar is about more than creating amazing hair—it’s about creating an amazing team.
We’re looking for a motivated, positive, results-driven stylist who is ready to step into leadership, set the standard, and make an impact. If you naturally take initiative, love helping others succeed, and want an opportunity to grow your career beyond the chair, this could be your next step.
SET THE STANDARD. LEAD THE WAY.

- Earn $5 for every $50 in retail products sold
- Earn up to $10 for every membership sold
- Dental & Vision benefits
- Paid training
- Employee discounts
- Leadership development and opportunities for advancement
- We LOVE promoting from within! Show us what you can do, and there is room to grow.
What You’ll Own as a Shift Lead
You’ll help set the tone for the shop and lead by example while still doing what you love behind the chair.
You will:
- Lead Stylists and Bartenders during your assigned shifts.
- Create an exceptional client experience from check-in through check-out.
- Keep the team motivated, accountable, and focused on shop goals.
- Assign clients to stylists and help maintain efficient shop flow
- Delegate responsibilities and ensure daily tasks are completed.
- Coach stylists toward completing beautiful Drybar blowouts in 45 minutes or less.
- Train and support new Bartenders on Booker, shop expectations, and Drybar’s 10 Core Values.
- Monitor back-bar, retail, and shop inventory and communicate ordering needs.
- Help drive memberships, retail, add-ons, client retention, and overall shop performance.
- Identify problems, take initiative, and help find solutions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and positive shop environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, timekeeping requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Communicate consistently with management and your team.
- Take ownership of additional leadership responsibilities assigned by the Regional Manager.
What We’re Looking For
You have a current and valid cosmetology license in the state where you are applying and strong shampoo, blow-dry, styling, and finishing skills.
More importantly, you’re someone who:
Leads by example
- Takes ownership instead of waiting to be asked
- Communicates professionally and confidently
- Holds yourself and others accountable
- Brings solutions, not negativity
- Loves coaching and developing others
- Provides exceptional service to both clients and teammates
- Is dependable, flexible, and committed to the needs of the business
- Wants to grow within Drybar and take on greater leadership responsibilities
- Is willing to go above and beyond for the team and the success of the shop
If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, develop your leadership skills, and help build a high-performing team, we want to meet you.
Take ownership. Drive results. Grow with us.
