Description
Riam Recruiting is again partnering with its long-time client in Oakland, California. They are a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) focusing on "whole patient health" and helping the underserved Asian population. Their services include primary care, mental health, case management, nutrition, and dental care. They currently have around 600 employees.
They are seeking an Associate Chief Dental Director to join their team. You will be the second-in-command in the dental department, with about 30 people reporting to you. This position oversees dental providers, ensures the quality of dental services, and provides oversight of specific agency components while reporting to the Chief Dental Officer (CDO).
As an Executive Leadership team member, you will partner with the CDO to support initiatives, such as dental expansion and residency/training programs. They have 4 locations.
Essential Job Functions Include:
- Program Planning, Evaluation, and Development of Provider Staff
- Clinical Supervision and Duties
- Provide patient care at 20-40% FTE
- Quality Assurance and Improvement and Risk Management
- General Administration
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from a CODA-approved dental school and possession of a DDS/DMD degree.
- Current, valid California dental license with a record in good standing.
- Post-graduate residency training is required.
- Three years of practice in all aspects of general dentistry in a community-based dental clinic serving underserved populations in a multicultural environment.
- Extensive administrative and personnel management experience.
- General understanding of Asian and Pacific Islander community and health issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual and bicultural in an Asian language and English
- Knowledge of integrated care models for primary care, dental, behavioral health, and special mental health practices is preferred.
Compensation for this role will be $230-233k.
