Contract Surety Underwriter- Texas

Our client is seeking a Surety Underwriter to evaluate and underwrite new and renewal surety business while building strong agency and client relationships. This role will analyze financial statements, work-in-progress schedules, bank agreements, and credit reports to assess risk and support profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review financial information and assess risk quality.
• Underwrite new and renewal surety accounts.
• Develop and maintain agency, broker, and client relationships.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and timely underwriting decisions.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions.
• Support business objectives through sound underwriting judgment and initiative.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of surety underwriting, credit analysis, banking, or related financial experience.
• Strong financial analysis and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship management abilities.

Location: Texas (Hybrid)
Compensation: Base salary up to $160,000 + bonus potential.
