Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases (CE&IG) Korea is a subsidiary of Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Group) and is incorporated in South Korea. We are seeking an experienced After Market Engineer to join our growing Nikkiso CE&IG Korea team.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated After Market Service Engineer to join our team. The After Market Service Engineer will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers after the sale of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Appointment Level:
The same job description may be used for both Aftermarket Service Engineer and Aftermarket Service Technician appointments. The final title and level will be determined based on education, relevant experience, technical capability, certifications, and the assigned scope of work. Both appointments are hands-on field roles.

- Serve as the customer's main contact to ensure complete technical satisfaction and equipment reliability.
- Receives and analyzes all customer requests, ensuring first reply is given in a timely manner.
- Categorizes all customer requests and redirects then to other teams.
- Works with customers to analyze root causes of failures, predictive maintenance, and gather MTBR metrics from LNG process plant end users.
- Maintains a customer request log.
- Evaluates duration of field interventions and defines skills required.
- Follows field interventions and support field service supervisors technically.
- Attends field intervention preparation meetings and debriefing meetings.
- Validates field supervisor service reports and dispatches reports to the field service coordinator.
- Performs minor design change in the form of a red-line drawing; tracks drawing revisions.
- Sends design change requests to the Engineering Department
- Reports design flaws on a regular basis and, if required, attend CAR meetings
- Gives recommendations on spare part sales opportunities.
- If required, attends handover meetings.

- Ability to build consensus and foster positive relationships with our customers.
- May require international travel to collaborate with Nikkiso's end-users and customers.
- Strong knowledge in rotating equipment maintenance and operation
- Experience with vibration analysis such as Bently Nevada 3500 system or equivalent
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) use and programming
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge industry safety requirements
- Engineer appointment: A BS in Mechanical Engineering is required for the mechanical discipline. A BS in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Engineering, or a related field may be accepted for E&I positions.
- Engineer appointment: 5+ years of relevant experience is required unless an equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience is approved.
- Technician appointment: Technical high school, associate degree, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience in a relevant discipline may be considered.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Ability to read relevant drawings, manuals, and procedures.
- Practical ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments, and personal protective equipment safely.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.
- Basic computer skills for reports, email, and service systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of one or more relevant Korean National Technical Qualifications is preferred. The certificates are not mandatory unless specifically required for an assigned task or by applicable law.
- Gas: Korean National Technical Qualifications in gas operation and safety, including Craftsman, Industrial Engineer, Engineer, or a higher equivalent level.
- Electrical and Instrumentation: Korean National Technical Qualifications in electrical, electrical construction, electronic control, instrumentation, or related disciplines.
- Safety and Hazardous Materials: Korean National Technical Qualifications in industrial safety, construction safety, hazardous materials, fire protection systems, or related disciplines.
- Mechanical and Cryogenic Equipment: Korean National Technical Qualifications in refrigeration and air-conditioning machinery, equipment maintenance, machinery, welding, or related disciplines.
- Field maintenance or commissioning experience with hydrogen, high-pressure gas, industrial gas, LNG, rotating equipment, or process plants.
- Experience with PLC, HMI, VFD, control systems, remote monitoring, vibration analysis, pump alignment, seals, or bearings.
- Working-level technical English.
Work Schedule and Travel:
- Frequent travel to customer sites across Korea is required. The initial main work area will be the capital and Incheon region, with Suwon as the primary base.
- The position participates in weekend duty rotation and may be called for emergency service outside normal working hours.
- Overtime, holiday work, and compensatory time will be managed in accordance with Korean law and company policy.
