Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, toileting, and feeding under the supervision of a licensed nurse
- Measure and record vital signs as directed, and promptly report changes in patient condition to supervising staff
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent complications
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families throughout the care process
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner in the EMR
- Support infection control and safety procedures in every care environment
- Participate in in-service training and continuing education as assigned
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Current certification as a Nurse Aide in the state of New Mexico
- Completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide Training program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience preferred; home health or hospice experience is a plus
- Someone who follows care plans closely, documents with care, and communicates clearly with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance for patient home visits
