Front of House - Pizza Box

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Front of House staff member is responsible for assisting patrons, working in the storefront, processing food orders, packaging orders, and maintaining a clean kitchen and store environment.

This work assignment will be at Pizza Box, 1253 Jacklin Road, Milpitas, CA, 95035.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Greets customers upon entrance and educates customers throughout their experience in the store.
• Assists store patrons in selecting their selections for food, drinks, or other items.
• Process customer orders and record them in the restaurant database.
• Relay customers’ orders to the kitchen staff.
• Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner.
• Accept cash and return the correct change.
• Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift.
• Place food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes.
• Respond to customer inquiries, issue receipts, and record customer suggestions.
• Clean and arrange eating, service, and kitchen spaces.
• Help kitchen staff when needed.
• Responsible for achieving store goals as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
• Follows all company policies, food safety standards, and kitchen procedures.
• Maintains strong communication skills and positive energy.
• Assists other team members during high-volume time periods.
• Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of their experience with the store.
• Handles customer complaints and concerns appropriately and brings them to the Shift Supervisor’s attention when necessary.
• Responsible for following all set up and closing protocols.
• Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
• Food Handler Card required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma preferred.
• Restaurant experience preferred.

• with hands and arms, twist and turn body.
• Ability to traverse all parts of the store quickly.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
• This position does require the ability to perform under stressful conditions and high-volume demands.
