POSITION SUMMARY:
Accountable for serving the guest between the hours of 11p.m to 7 a.m. Performing the nightly audit of the hotel. The primary function is compiling and balancing the transactions through our Property Management System. They are also responsible for performing the close day process and ensuring the business day has rolled over correctly.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
• Processes guest charges.
• Posts guest charge purchase transactions not posted by the front office cashier.
• Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts.
• Verifies all account postings and balances.
• Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
• Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities.
• Summarizes results of operations for management.
• Prepare of End of day procedure.
• Run end of day process in property management software (PMS).
• Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
• Knows how to operate PMS, computer, and other front office equipment.
• Understand and knows how to perform check-in and check-out procedures.
• Logs and makes wakeup calls as requested.
• Prepares daily room reports.
• Assists guests in the capacity of bellman if needed.
• Logs next day information in the Diary (PMS).
• Ensure lobby and surrounding environment is kept clean.
• Performs any other duties as requested by management.
Experience:
• Minimum one to two years' experience in hotel accounting position.
• Experience with hotel information systems preferred.
• Computer knowledge and experience in MS office programs.

Physical Requirements:
Requires standing for long periods of time, walking, repetitive motions, grasping and on occasion may be required to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. while performing the duties of this job.
