SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, performs and documents technical functions related to manufacturing, testing, quality, and equipment operation. Provides technical support to manufacturing equipment and processes, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and process parameters are met.
This position is primarily focused on supporting sustaining activities within the Balloon manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have experience with equipment setup, dimensional inspection, molds/fixtures, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes. This role requires the ability to analyze process failures, collect and interpret data, document technical findings, and determine potential root causes related to materials, recipes, equipment, tooling, or manufacturing methods.
SCHEDULE: Turno B (Mixto): Monday to Friday: 3:25 p.m. – 9:55 p.m. Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs and documents repairs, testing, maintenance, fabrication, inspection, and calibration of components, instruments, and manufacturing equipment.
Sets up, adjusts, and operates manufacturing equipment following established procedures.
Provides technical support to manufacturing equipment and Balloon manufacturing processes.
Performs equipment setup activities and supports process readiness.
Performs dimensional inspections and verifies product conformance to specifications.
Supports the maintenance and use of molds, fixtures, and manufacturing tooling.
Monitors equipment performance to ensure production targets are met.
Adjusts key process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and material settings to optimize production output.
Supports pilot runs and assists in lot changeovers.
Troubleshoots basic electrical, mechanical, process, or equipment-related issues.
Analyzes process failures and manufacturing deviations to identify potential root causes.
Collects and analyzes process data to support engineering investigations and continuous improvement activities.
Supports NCR investigations and technical documentation activities.
Documents technical observations, findings, and corrective actions as required.
Uses sound technical judgment to determine whether issues may be related to materials, process recipes, equipment, molds/fixtures, or manufacturing methods.
Verifies equipment maintenance and calibration status.
Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs, WIs, EOPs) for all assigned tasks.
Accurately records and completes manufacturing documentation.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Supports additional production areas as needed.
Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required.
Technical degree in Electronics, Electricity, Mechanics, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
Alternatively, university student with at least 70% completion in a related field.
2–3 years of technical experience in manufacturing, maintenance, equipment support, process support, or related technical roles.
Experience supporting manufacturing processes in a regulated environment is preferred.
Experience with Balloon manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
Experience performing equipment setup, dimensional inspection, fixture/tooling support, and process troubleshooting is preferred.
Experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Understanding of manufacturing process control and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to analyze process performance and identify potential root causes.
Experience collecting and documenting technical data.
Familiarity with NCR support activities and technical investigations.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Understanding of dimensional inspection methods and measurement tools.
Ability to operate and adjust manufacturing equipment.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn and apply GMP and regulatory requirements.
Basic computer skills (email, data entry, documentation).
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Adaptability and flexibility to support different manufacturing areas.
