Overview:
The Epic Beaker LIS Reporting Analyst designs, develops, validates, and maintains laboratory reporting and analytics within Epic Beaker and enterprise data platforms. This role develops reports, dashboards, data extracts, and SQL queries using Epic tools such as Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer, Clarity, and Caboodle. The analyst partners with laboratory, quality, clinical, and IT stakeholders to deliver accurate, actionable data supporting operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience in healthcare information systems, clinical analytics, or LIS environments. Epic Beaker, Cogito, Clarity, or Caboodle experience and laboratory operations experience preferred.

Essential Functions:
- Builds CORE module with minimal supervision and acts as Lead analyst on a build project when designated.
- Supports CORE module, troubleshoots, and resolves system and customer issues. Performs basic troubleshooting in other related modules.
- Assists in the creation of build standards and test plans and considers and communicates potential system impacts when designing and proposing solutions.
- Applies risk mitigation techniques, using knowledge of integration points with other modules.
- Assists in the preparation of support documentation and provides basic user training and support.
- Complies with IS Information Assurance standards and processes in planning and coordinating Epic systems implementation and maintenance activities. Ensures that system build is within hospital policy and compliance standards.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, required.
Licensure Requirement:
Clinical licensure or equivalent certifications, preferred.
Certifications:
Epic certification within 6 months of hire, required.
Skills:
- Enhanced interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills required to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
- Strong skills in use of PC desktop applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Experience:
- Three years of providing systems analysis support or related experience, required.
- Experience interacting with clinical or business areas to gather and understand workflow and technical requirements, required.
- Experience in health care environments, preferred.
