What will you be doing?

In this role, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality valuation and advisory services across a wide range of real estate asset classes.

 

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Advise clients on real estate value: Support investors, developers, corporates and financial institutions with independent valuation advice for strategic, financial and transactional purposes.
• Perform complex valuations: Lead valuations of office, retail, logistics, industrial, residential, hospitality and mixed-use assets using recognized valuation methodologies.
• Deliver valuation reports: Prepare and review clear, accurate and well-documented valuation reports in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Provide transaction support: Assist clients in acquisition, disposal, financing and restructuring projects by providing valuation input and market insights.
• Analyse real estate markets: Monitor market trends, investment activity, rental dynamics and macroeconomic developments to support value assessments and strategic recommendations.
• Manage client relationships: Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and act as a reliable advisor throughout the lifecycle of a project.
• Lead and mentor junior professionals: Coach team members, review their work and contribute to the development of technical expertise within the team.
• Collaborate across BDO: Work closely with colleagues from Tax, Audit, Corporate Finance, Deal Advisory and Consulting to provide integrated solutions for clients.
• Contribute to practice growth: Support business development initiatives, help expand the client portfolio and strengthen BDO’s presence in the real estate market.

What do you bring to the table?

We’re looking for a real estate professional who combines strong technical valuation expertise with commercial awareness and client focus. Here’s what you’ll need:

 

• Relevant experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in real estate valuation, real estate advisory, investment analysis or real estate consulting.
• Educational background: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Engineering, Economics, Architecture, Commercial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Valuation expertise: Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies including DCF, income capitalization, comparable transactions and market-based approaches.
• Market insight: Solid understanding of the Belgian real estate market and key asset classes.
• Analytical mindset: Ability to interpret complex financial, operational and market data and translate findings into clear recommendations.
• Client orientation: Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate valuation conclusions with confidence and credibility.
• Leadership skills: Experience coaching junior colleagues and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
• Language proficiency: Fluency in French and Dutch is required. Knowledge of English considered a strong asset.
• Entrepreneurial spirit: Ambition to contribute to the continued growth and development of BDO’s Real Estate Advisory practice.
