SUMMARY 
The Yale University Athletics Department is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time employment opportunity at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center as a Recreational Tennis Attendant. This position will assist the facility manager and will work to meet the Athletic Department’s goal of offering first-class 
customer service to the patrons of the tennis facility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Recreational Tennis Front Desk Attendant responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
-Providing excellent customer service to the various patrons who play at the facility
- Facilitate memberships and process payments for customers
- Schedule and reserve court time for recreational tennis use
- Serve as a point of contact during shifts
- Responsible for reporting maintenance needed to the tennis center/tennis courts
- Help maintain a clean, well-kept facility
- Oversee opening and/or closing the facility for recreational shifts
- Reporting directly to the facility manager, completing other tasks as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills
- Enthusiastic spirit and the ability to work well with others in diverse environments
- Greet customers and answer questions they may have
- Ability to use a computer and learn scheduling software and Microsoft Office/Outlook
- Handle forms of payment, including credit/debit cards and checks
- Basic knowledge of the sport of tennis/NO playing history required


Recreational Tennis Front Desk Attendant
ADDITIONAL DETAILS

- Part-time position, 5-15 hours per week
- Evening availability required
- Occasional weekend availability may be requested
- Position to start mid-late August 2026 and run through May of 2027 (start and end dates are flexible, with opportunities for more shifts)
- Will be paid hourly
- Schedule flexibility permissible, but weeknight and weekend work will be required depending on weekly events schedule
